Chuck came up from Tampa and we had a blast this past weekend. I got to take a tour of the UN Building, go to the top of Rockefeller Center, and go to Barcade (a video game bar). Staying up 'til 7am partying around Manhattan was awesome. I can't wait until I'm finally moved in and I can stay out more.
I also saw Raging Bull - with a young Robert Deniro and Joe Pesci. Man.... some people never change. *smirk*
Got tickets to an upcoming Bjork concert with my old partner in crime, Patti... can't wait.
I also have more concrete things to do at work now, which makes me much happier. I feel so much more useful, and it makes me go home happier at the end of the day.
I feel like I'm losing my social/technical prowess though. Internet usage is limited at work, and I'm never around a computer once I leave work, for one reason or another. Honestly, I haven't read a news report in over a month. A bomb could of gone off in neighboring borough and I would have no idea unless someone called me. My schedule consists of working, hitting the gym (if I'm lucky), unpacking, and sleeping. Occasionally, if its not too crowded, I read something on the train. So to all my friends that I haven't been keeping up with online, I apologize. Call me on the phone and there's a slightly higher chance I may actually respond (but I make no promises ;).
BUT THE BEST PART: Camp Bisco is coming up next weekend!!!! Hallucinogen, Infected Mushroom, Amon Tobin, and more. 3 day music festival with some of my all time favorites bands. John Mack where are you?! Get your butt over here! Its time to go back to Albany!!! Wow, I can't wait :) |
