GDC 2007 [Mar. 9th, 2007|09:44 pm] GDC this year was more successful than I could've anticipated. I got the chance to see a bunch of good friends that I hadn't seen in a long time. Nothing beats karoke and those cute-but-completely-unintelligible japanese picture-taking booths. And hey, who can pass up an aphrodisiac dinner at a vegetarian restuarant. My tools SIG gathering had such a good turn out we actually had to step outside of our alloted area because not everyone could fit in. It was great to put some faces to the names of people I'd corresponded with. Unfortunately, I feel like I really didn't get to see many talks this time around. My time was taken up by other duties, like working the ATVI booth and interviewing new candidates. Oh yeah, but the best part: Last night I got trashed with Blizzard and met Cliff Bleszinksi. Blizzard got me good and drunk then had me interview this morning with a massive hang over. There's a good chance I may doing tools programming for them in the near future (Can you say free lifetime WoW account? ;). God, I love this city.
